Spidolite II titanium Red 5

Last week the Linde Werdelin SpidoLite II Titanium Blue was featured as our Watch of the Week. This week we’ll show you the second watch to in the exciting new collection, the SpidoLite II Red.

Just when you thought LW’s latest timepiece couldn’t get any more impressive than the Titanium Blue, they go and release this Red version!

Limited to just 75 pieces, the latest edition to the series is defined by its striking red dial and bold black DLC details. As with the Titanium Blue, the skeletonised construction of the case makes it perfect for use at high altitudes – a ‘sports’ watch in the truest sense of the word.

The dial itself features the two skeletonised layers, with the LW logo being visible from the lower dial. The upper dial bears the red background and luminova indexes, as well as a second’s sub dial that can be found at the position of 9 o’clock. The amplified black calendar looks great against the red background, with no problems with regards to readability.

The SpidoLite II Titanium Red is powered by the LW04 2251 Calibre, which has been custom made by Concepto. The movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case back, as well as through the dial itself. The movement also features the Spido logo that has been engraved on the front and back and is finished with a circular perlage. The red screws that feature in the movement all have high anti-corrosive properties and also help to increase the appeal of the design even further, in my opinion.

There are currently four versions of the SpidoLite II – Blue, Red, Anthracite DLC and Titanium, with the final version in the series due for release on December 13th 2012, just in time for Christmas!

If you’re interested in getting your hands on one of the SpidoLite’s, then head over to the Linde Werdelin website where you can purchase them directly.
