Over the last couple weeks we have showcased watches from the exciting new series by Linde Werdelin in our Watch of the Week feature. After previously showing you the SpidoLite II Titanium Blue and the Titanium Red, this week we take a look at the final timepiece in the trilogy, the SpidoLite II Black Gold.

Upon first inspection, the Black Gold maybe isn’t quite as eye catching as either the Blue or Red version. However, with the dial, crown and hands all being manufactured from 18k rose gold, the watch is certainly by no means understated and is a great alternative to the more striking Red and Blue versions.

As with the previous versions in the series the Black Gold is limited to only 75 pieces. The titanium case has been given a DLC finish and is said to be inspired by the same weight reduction technology that is used in Formula One racing cars.

The dial of course features the trademark skeletonised layers, with the Cotes de Geneve featuring the LW logo on the lower layer. The upper dial, as mentioned, is rose gold and features the three hands and luminant indexes. Additionally, the date wheel has been amplified and offers excellent readability.

The SpidoLite II series uses the 2251 calibre LW04 movement which is custom made by Concepto. The watch is then complemented by a black calfskin strap that features anthracite fine grey stitching.

The SpidoLite II Black Gold is available online direct from Linde Werdelin or via an LW retailer and will set you back a cool 11,200 Swiss Francs excluding VAT, which is approximately £7,500.
