It must be black

Lifestyle

The man clad entirely in black can look as if he’s trying too hard to emulate the late great Johnny Cash, but the man with black accessories or carefully chosen items of black clothing, can look effortlessly cool, sleek, and always on trend. Girls accessories can be pink, pastel, red, crimson, any colour they like, but a man’s accessories should unfailingly be plain moody black.

Quite apart from the powerful style cues that emanate so forcefully from all black accessories, they also save a lot of tedious thinking time. Black goes with just about anything, including more black, and is widely available as a colourway. You can have the wrong kind of blue or red or orange, but you can never have the wrong kind of black.

When it comes to accessories they automatically look sharper and more high-tech in black, do not be tempted by white blue or red mobile phones, they must be black. Sure, they have red and blue and green backpacks, but pick the black.

Tee shirts never look better than when they are black. Learn this simple accessory tip: always stay in the black. Here are some excellent examples of keeping it cool and keeping it black.

Travel bags simply don’t come any cooler than Tumi. Founded in 1975, Tumi takes its name from a Peruvian God known to its founder from his Peace Corps days in South America. Now Tumi have got together with American DJ Vice to create a DJ bag based on the Alpha T Pass. The bag interior is illuminated with electric green – the DJ Vice colour signature so he can see what he is grabbing from the bag even in darkened club conditions. DJ Vice specified a number of pockets; small pockets, and side pockets to accommodate cables and USBs, gaffer tape rolls and other DJ kit. The “nugget” of this bag is its main pocket, designed to accommodate all the necessary larger gear such as two pairs of headphones, magazines and a sweatshirt. In tribute to the largest airliner in the world, the Airbus A380, only 380 pieces of this Tumi x DJ Vice limited edition bag will be produced worldwide and will be available from July 17, 2013 at Tumi stores and Tumi.com, priced at around £430.00.
