Swiss watch makers Bell & Ross has crossed its BR01 Airborne watch with its BR01 Tourbillon to arrive at this spooky and haunting limited edition piece just in time for Halloween. This would make a fine accompaniment to Keith Richard’s famous skull and cross bones ring and priced at $150,000 you’ll need a rock legend’s wages to afford it. Of course Wayne Rooney’s newly signed deal at Manchester United would ensure he could buy one every week and still have change for a Patek Philippe Calatrava, but Wayne looks scary enough as it is.

The watch has regulator-style time display (hours, minutes, seconds all with their own hand), with the Tourbillon cage functioning as the seconds hand (60 second rotation). There is also a power reserve display, and a torque indicator which helps you not to overwind the manual-wind movement.

Bell & Ross is a Swiss watch company headed by French designers Bruno Belamich and Carlos A. Rosillo. The brand was launched in 1992, and the first watches were designed by Belamich and Rosillo and made by a German watchmaker, Sinn.

Watches such as the BR Instrument have been designed to replicate the shape of a cockpit instrumentation panel. The BR02 range caters for diving professionals through the use of highly legible dials and with cases water resistant to 1000 metres of pressure. Another offering is the Hydromax; which contains hydraulic fluid within the case to counteract the effects of external pressures.

Bell & Ross’s first watches were virtual re-issues of Sinn models and carried the Bell & Ross logo as well as Sinn’s. The partnership ended in 2002, when Bell & Ross began its own independent production in their facilities La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.

This new Br01 Airborne is the perfect watch to go trick or treating.
